Alexandra Miller-Knaack

Assistant Chaplain

Alex is originally from the Chicago suburbs and joined Oxford College as Assistant Chaplain in the fall of 2021. Among other things, she offers support to the campus community connecting with students and staff one-on-one, and through partnerships with Campus Life, Counseling and Career Services, International Student Programs, and the Center for Healthful Living. She became a certified Spiritual Director in May 2022 and hopes to bring new ways to practice spirituality and soul care to campus. Before coming to Oxford Alex worked as a chaplain at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital. One of the main reasons she works in college chaplaincy is because of her passion for mental health, meaning-making, and the journey of independence. She began as the Communications Coordinator for ACSLHE (The Association for Chaplaincy and Spiritual Life in Higher Education) shortly after she began her time at Oxford.
