Albert Ikeda

Adjunct Instructor of Physical Education

Albert Ikeda received his BBAdm in Marketing from the University of Hawaii, in 1967. He immediately begun working at IBM as a sales trainee and went on to work as an IBM Marketing Representative in Honolulu and later in Guam. His IBM career included a Distribution Industry Representative, Sales Manager, Administrative Assistance to the Vice President of Sales and Sales Branch manager, manager in Los Angeles and Honolulu. In 1983 he moved to Atlanta, where he worked as a manager in the IBM sales and marketing training center. He retired from IBM in 2000.

Mr. Ikeda started training in Shotokan style of martial arts over 15 years ago. In 2007, he was awarded a third degree black belt with the Japan Karate Association. He has actively participated over the past three years in the Japan Karate Associations instructor training program. In addition, Mr. Ikeda also trained in Judo and Aikijustu.

Mr. Ikeda currently teaches Karate at Oxford College, Brenau University and Emory University.
