Kevin Smyrl

Kevin has worked in the Development and Alumni Relations office at Oxford College since September of 2006. Beginning as the Director of Development Kevin was promoted in 2007 to the Assistant Dean/Chief Development Officer and served in this role until June of 2012. After serving two years as Vice President of Development at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta Kevin returned to Oxford in June of 2014 as Associate Dean and Chief Development Officer.

Kevin has leadership responsibilities for all aspects of alumni relations and fundraising including: alumni engagement, alumni events, annual giving, major and principle gifts, and planned giving. His office also has responsibilities for leading and supporting the work of both the Oxford College Board of Counselors and the Oxford College Alumni Board.

When not at work Kevin enjoys spending time with his family; Lisa, Philip, and Katherine. They are usually enjoying a variety of outdoor activities, especially fishing and many other water sports. Kevin is also an avid golfer, has a passion for outdoor grilling, and coaches youth basketball. The Smyrl family attends St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church in Snellville, GA where Kevin serves on the Pastoral Council as well as the International Laity Committee for the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette.
