Ken Anderson is Professor of Philosophy and Dean for Academic Affairs at Oxford College of Emory University in Oxford, Georgia. He has been on the faculty at Oxford since receiving his Ph.D. from Emory University in 1991. He earned a BA in Philosophy and English from Bucknell University in 1982.
Dr. Anderson served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for six years before assuming the role of Dean of Academic Affairs in May 2012. Before moving into administration, he taught courses in the history of philosophy and ethics, winning the Emory Williams Distinguished Teaching Award in 2008. His scholarship has focused on Jean-Paul Sartre and disability studies. He has served as president of the North American Sartre Society and as vice president of the Atlanta chapter of Kids4Peace, an organization educating for peaceful solutions in the Middle East.
