Carmen Almeida

Carmen R. Almeida commenced her esteemed tenure with Oxford College of Emory in November 2023, assuming the role of Academic Support Specialist with the Center of Pathways & Purpose. In this position, Carmen plays a pivotal role towards the expansion of the Center of Pathways & Purpose as well as in the planning of Global Learning Education Trips abroad, the Community Engaged Learning, Internships, and Experiential Learning.

With over two decades of expertise in corporate administration, travel planning, and event management, Carmen stands as a beacon of professionalism and accomplishment.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to pursuit of excellence and a remarkable ability to orchestrate seamless operations within diverse environments. Leveraging her comprehensive understanding of various professions, Carmen, can navigate complex challenges with finesse and strategic acumen, consistently making every effort to deliver exceptional results.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Carmen’s dedication to community involvement also plays a pivotal part in who she is. She engages in philanthropic endeavors and has served as the Board President for Fairview Elementary School Council, Vice President for Fairview PTO Committee, PTO Committee Member of Newton County Theme School, and Assistant Coach to Fairview Elementary, and Newton Theme School Robotics Team – 2 -Time District Champion and 2 -time State Finalist. Additionally, Carmen passionately participated in fundraising efforts, notably participating, and contributing many charitable organizations embodying her commitment to making a positive impact beyond the confines of her professional realm.

Outside of her professional and philanthropic pursuits, Carmen finds joy in exploration, indulging her passion for travel to broaden her horizons and experience with diverse cultures firsthand across the world and the beautiful landscape, especially waterfalls. Carmen also has a passion for dancing and sports. She enjoys channeling her creativity and energy into various activities, further enriching her life, and embodying her vibrant spirit.
